President Museveni commissions a new 132kV power line, connecting West Nile to the national grid.

President Museveni recounted that upon the National Resistance Movement (NRM) taking office, Uganda’s only power source was Owen Falls Dam with a generation capacity of 150 megawatts, of which only 60 megawatts were operational due to turbine limitations.
