In order to register Ugandans without national IDs, NIRA has started a nationwide drive that has brought registration services down to the subcounty level.

The Registration of Persons Act, Cap. 332, requires NIRA to make sure all citizens are registered, and our endeavor complies with that requirement.

Using X, formerly known as Twitter, NIRA’s Manager for Public Relations and Corporate Affairs, Osborn Mushabe, publicized the initiative and encouraged unregistered persons to utilize the mobile registration services.

LC1 chairpersons will be in charge of alerting locals when the mobile teams will be in their areas during the outreach, which is scheduled to conclude on November 23.

Residents can visit the closest NIRA office or get in touch with local LC1 Chairpersons for more information.
