Minister Nankabirwa was replying to remarks made by Kanungu LC 5 Chairman Eng Sam Arinaitwe Kajojo and Kanungu District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Patience Kinshaba Nkunda regarding the difficulties that locals and the business community are experiencing as a result of the lack of electricity.

Hon. Nankabirwa claimed that she had already received letters from the district leaders of Kanungu informing her of the problems with the energy supply and that she would send a technical team to investigate the situation before returning to commission the distribution herself.

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda dedicated and consecrated the St. Francis Kakureiju Church of Uganda. The Bishop of Kinkizi Diocese, the Right Reverend Dan Zoreka, and many other clergy members help the Most Reverend Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu.

Speaking at the same event, Archbishop Kaziimba Mugalu asserted that Ugandans have the ability to build their churches and develop their nation without necessarily engaging in immoral behavior like homosexuality. He also asserted that the Church of Uganda can flourish without waiting for outside help.

To bring about constructive change in this nation, he added, we should resist corruption, be hardworking citizens, keep God in mind, and serve Him.
