To improve aviation safety, the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has put two brand-new, cutting-edge fire vehicles into service at Entebbe International Airport. Gen. Because of their cutting-edge features, the new fire engines, called Tango 21 and Tango 22, are essential to upholding the airport’s safety regulations. While Tango 22 can contain 10,500 liters of water, Tango 21 can carry 12,500 liters of water plus 1,500 liters of foam. Entebbe Airport will be able to keep its International Fire Category 9 designation thanks to the purchase of these trucks. According to regulations, the airport must keep 24,300 liters of water on standby. Mr. Fred Bamwesigye, the Director General of UCAA, also emphasized the extensive training that 72 employees had in order to operate and maintain the new fire engines. The minister congratulated the crew on reaching the milestone and commended UCAA’s efforts, stressing the significance of ensuring safety as air traffic rises.
