Uganda’s Kampala Airtel Uganda has proudly announced its participation as the Internet Partner for the upcoming 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, a significant move that highlights the company’s dedication to digital inclusivity and technical growth. This week in Kampala, the news was made at a press briefing.
Manoj Murali, the Managing Director of Airtel Uganda, addressed the media and emphasized the transformative potential of digital connection as well as its critical role in the context of international cooperation and advancement.
Developing nations are becoming more and more important in a world where technology is changing. He stated, “Airtel Uganda is leading this revolution, establishing collaborations that speed up digital inclusion in Africa and bringing several firsts to Uganda.
Representatives from 120 countries will be present at the NAM summit, which is scheduled to take place in the Speke Resort Convention Centre Munyonyo from January 15–20, 2024. It provides a forum for nations aiming for sustainable development, peace, and justice in a globalized society to show support, cooperation, and respect for one another.
Airtel Uganda’s contribution to the summit goes beyond only providing technical assistance. The business is prepared to offer fiber cable and 5G internet access, guaranteeing stable, consistent, and quick internet service all during the event.
“We are the first 5G network in Uganda, and the conference space is completely covered. We have enhanced network performance near Mulago National Referral Hospital, hotels housing delegates, and the Entebbe Express Way. Our goal is to facilitate significant change. Every conversation, document exchanged, and video conference during this summit has the potential to spark ground-breaking ideas, laws that alter people’s lives, or globally significant alliances, said Manoj.
