According to the most recent data, Entebbe International Airport handled 212,701 foreign travelers in August 2024—an average of 6,861 travelers a day.
August’s passenger count is the highest in the airport’s history for a single month.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) released statistics showing that, out of the total passengers, 104,646 were arriving and 108,055 were departing.

The airport had 100,767 arriving and 95,142 departing passengers in July 2024, for a total of 195,909, or 6,319 passengers per day, which was the third-highest number.
With 191,507 international passengers handled in August 2023—an average of 6,177 per day—it ranks fourth in terms of passenger traffic handled in a single month.
In terms of cargo, Entebbe processed 1,885 metric tons of imports and 3,525 metric tons of exports in August 2024, for a total of 5,410 metric tons.
There are now more departures and arrivals at Entebbe as a result of Uganda Airlines’ national carrier launching a number of new aircraft routes in recent years.
Only a few weeks ago, the airline started operating to Lagos, the commercial powerhouse of West Africa, and now it is flying to Abuja, the administrative capital of Nigeria.
The airline plans to add 15 new destinations to its route network.
