He said that once more investors come to Uganda, the nation’s plan for socioeconomic transformation will be simple to accomplish.

“If you bring me these investors, your business will grow even more,” President Museveni told MTN Group, which was in charge of a delegation of 40 South African companies that attended the summit. “You see these people here are mainly cattle keepers, farmers, and many of them are yet to have a business culture.”

“Business is a little slow in Uganda because many people still rely on the government for funding, but things will move more quickly if we have people with entrepreneurship and money,” he continued.

The team, which was led by Group Chairman Mr. Mcebisi Hubert Jonas, thanked the President for the assistance provided to the telecom company ever since it began operations in Uganda.

Hon. Evelyn Anite, the Minister of State for Privatization and Investment, Mr. Ralph Mupita, Ms. Yolanda Zoleka Cuba, Mr. Charles Mbire, the Chairman of MTN Uganda, and Ms. Sylvia Mulinge, the CEO of MTN Uganda, among other officials, attended the meeting.
