President Museveni Meets Representatives of Boeing Company

President Museveni gave the delegation his word during the meeting that Uganda is prepared to work with Boeing to advance the nation's aviation industry.

At State House-Entebbe, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni met with a representatives from the Boeing Company.

Mr. Kuljit Ghata-Aura, President of Boeing-Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Central Asia, headed the delegation.

Boeing is a prominent multinational aerospace corporation that designs, produces, and maintains commercial aircraft, defense equipment, and space systems for clients in more than 150 nations. The corporation, a leading exporter from the United States, uses the skills of a large global supplier network to promote sustainability, community impact, and economic opportunity.

President Museveni gave the delegation his word during the meeting that Uganda is prepared to work with Boeing to advance the nation’s aviation industry.

President Museveni was notified by Mr. Ghata that the company has assembled a comprehensive aviation system package to help Uganda’s aviation development and infrastructure.

The Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID), led by Mr. Odrek Rwabwogo, who also holds the position of Senior Presidential Advisor-Special Duties, organized the meeting.


The vice president of Boeing’s flight operations, Captain Graig Bomben, and the vice president of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Sales and Marketing in Africa, Mr. Anbessie Yitbarek, were among the other delegation members present at the meeting.

Officials from Uganda Air Cargo, Uganda Airlines, and the Civil Aviation Authority were also present during the conference.
