Alupo claimed that by enabling proprietors of small businesses to engage in local and international trade, the Digitruck project will provide the unorganized sector with chances for sustainable livelihoods.

Alupo added that Huawei Uganda is regarded by the government as a key and vital partner in the transformation of Uganda. “We thank Huawei for constructing smart infrastructure here, including supporting education with ICT.”

The TECH4ALL initiative, which is Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.’s long-term action plan for promoting inclusivity and sustainability around the world, covers the DigiTruck project. The Ugandan DigiTruck initiative fits with the nation’s 2040 vision, National Development Plan, and Education Digital Agenda Strategy, all of which aim to make the East African nation of Uganda a digital village.

“As we move forward with this initiative, we are guided by a commitment to fostering digital inclusion and advancing the principles of gender equality, labor empowerment, and social development,” Mr. Ebittu James said in a statement made on behalf of Hon.
